The Night I Realized Parents Deserve Better: The Story Behind 4Kiddos
After one too many late nights searching for kids’ events with no luck, I knew there had to be a better way. That spark became 4Kiddos—a simple place for families to discover activities and make memories together.

The Late-Night Search That Sparked an Idea
One evening, after putting my kids to bed, I curled up with a glass of wine and began searching for something fun for us to do that weekend. I opened Eventbrite and scrolled for hours. Nothing. I checked Facebook groups. Still nothing. I bounced between blogs and local sites, hoping for inspiration.
After hours of searching, I had nothing to show for it. Just frustration.
That was the night I realized parents everywhere must be going through the same thing. We spend hours searching, miss opportunities, and end up settling for screens to keep our kids occupied.
And that was the spark that eventually became 4Kiddos.
The Pain Parents Share Everywhere
As I started talking to other parents, I realized this problem was not just mine. Families told me how overwhelming it felt to cobble together activities from scattered sources. Moms admitted they felt guilty when kids spent too much time on tablets. Homeschooling parents said they craved enrichment options but struggled to find quality experiences nearby.
This is not just about boredom. It is about kids missing chances to socialize, learn, and make friends. It is about families missing out on the joy of shared experiences.
From Idea to Action
For years, I had been talking about creating “something for kids.” I had the name 4Kiddos, but the vision was not clear. Initially, I envisioned babysitting services or toy platforms. But those already existed.
Then a friend challenged me. She said, “It is time to stop talking and actually build it.” Around the same time, I tested the concept with ChatGPT, which called it a billion-dollar idea. That was the threshold moment.
I knew I could no longer ignore it.
The Struggles Along the Way
Turning 4Kiddos into reality has not been easy. I am not a tech founder, so I had to rely on third parties to build the MVP. I worked with a shoestring budget. There were crashes and setbacks, including a time when we nearly lost all our data.
There were nights when I wanted to quit. I wondered if I was the right person to do this, if the sacrifice of time and energy was worth it. But each challenge taught me resilience. The most important lesson? Always have a backup plan as a backup.
My Son’s Belief, and Why I Won’t Quit
What keeps me going is my kids. My son proudly tells people, “My mom is building something amazing.” Even when the product is not fully ready, he remains committed to it. His excitement reminds me of the bigger picture.
Every parent I meet confirms the same thing: this is not just my problem. Families everywhere are still struggling to find activities, still juggling guilt over screen time, and still craving community. That is why I know I cannot stop.
Our Mission: Every Child Deserves a Village
At 4Kiddos, our mission is simple. Every child deserves a village. Beyond parents and grandparents, kids thrive when teachers, mentors, caregivers, and friends surround them.
4Kiddos is being built to make that vision real. It will be the place where families can easily discover activities, build connections, and give their children the opportunities they deserve.
Be Part of the Village
The night I realized parents deserve better changed everything for me. Today, 4Kiddos is more than an idea. It is becoming a platform built for families everywhere who want more for their kids.
